“I don't know who my grandfather was; I am much more concerned to know what his grandson will be.” -Abraham Lincoln

This post just seems to get done later and later in the week…

  4. Jessie A Kennedy
  5. Lizzie Melton
  • Update both my FreePages site and WorldConnect database and email a RootsMagic backup to my Gmail account
  • Add 2 direct-line ancestors to my research wiki
  • Week #10 post for 52 Weeks of Abundant Genealogy
  • Create at least 1 “Ambassador” post
  • INDEX, INDEX, INDEX!!!

A busy genealogy week for me! Did a lot on indexing of the Texas Deaths, 1890-1976 collection and also indexed the simulated 1940 U S Census. The latter was most interesting, as a lot of new questions were asked on this census.

Also, it’s fixin’ to be Happy Dance Time! I have created a list of my Hill County, Texas marriage licenses (10 couples so far), and I hope to get down to Hillsboro (120-mile round trip) one day next week to see what I can find. I’ll be happy to get only 2-3 licenses out of that batch, all 10 would be a Happy Dance Marathon!

Plans for this week:

  • Research and document my findings for
  1. Jessie A Kennedy
  2. Lizzie Melton
  3. Mary Melton
  4. Bobbie Melton
  5. James Arthur Matthews, Jr
  • Update both my FreePages site and WorldConnect database and email a RootsMagic backup to my Gmail account
  • Add 2 direct-line ancestors to my research wiki
  • Week #11 post for 52 Weeks of Abundant Genealogy
  • Create at least 1 “Ambassador” post
  • INDEX, INDEX, INDEX!!!
