Ruth's Genealogy

“I don't know who my grandfather was; I am much more concerned to know what his grandson will be.” -Abraham Lincoln

For some time I have been neglecting my Bluebonnet Country Genealogy database web site. It is difficult and time-consuming to update. I post to my blog several times per week, and am really spoiled on the ease of uploading images and maintaining the blog. What I really want is a central location, a site to house my blog and my database that is as simple to maintain as the blog is. To that end, I have investigated several options, and have settled on WordPress as that central location. I had signed up for a blog last summer, but never did anything with it. After several attempts (and a bit of hair-pulling!), I finally remembered the password and got logged on. I have visited several WordPress genealogy blogs, and I really like the tabbed navigation that some of those blogs use. So, I hope to get the WordPress blog set up with a design using the header image that I created for Blogger, tabbed navigation, and different sections for the blog and database. This will be a learning experience, as I am not familiar with the ins and outs of WordPress.
