It is associated with the University of Houston School of Medicine and has a lot of documents and information about Texas doctors from the late 1800’s-early 1900’s. I found info on my 2 Texas MD’s. One, Dr Thomas Joshua Bennett (1854-1927), at one time was a partner in the ownership of Austin Sanitarium, one of the major hospitals located in the Texas capital. I found 3 early photos of that hospital, and even better, there are copies of Polks Medical Register and Directory of the United States and Canada from 1886, 1896, 1902 and 1906. Only the portion applicable to Texas is posted, but each physician in Texas is supposed to be listed. This is Dr Bennett’s listing from 1906:

That’s a lot of info!
I also found my other physician-ancestor, Dr Nathan Blunt Kennedy (1836-1897), of Hillsboro. Not as much info was given about Dr Kennedy, maybe because he was from an earlier time period.
Anyway, I have found a lot of documents online about Dr Bennett, and added them to my FTM database.
